Gettin' Bombed Ain't Easy =P
Last night I did my project speech, it seems that the results were below my expectations. Probably I started screwing things up when my audiences weren't as responsive as I wanted them to be (well, Malaysians are known to be unresponsive, isn't it?). I lost a little bit of my cool after seeing the coldness of the audiences (mistake #1). I find it extremely interesting when you start panicking, all the plans, techniques and knowledge you previously had in your mind just evaporated. You can no longer carry on with Plan A, it's time for Plan B. Unfortunately, I don't have a Plan B (I believe most people don't =P). In the end, it's back to the basics, letting your reflects and instincts take over your body and do the job. The good thing was I managed to conceal my nervousness, the only one that knew I was not going according to plan was myself.
My mistake #2 would probably be my talking speed. In order to complete my task within the allocated time, I sped up my talking to 1.5 times faster than it should be. Big mistake! I overestimated Malaysians. First of all, I forgot the fact that most Malaysian's mother tongue ain't in English. This means if I talk too fast, they wouldnt be able to grasp what I am trying to say. Another thing I forgot was the unresponsiveness of Malaysians (if you ask them something from the stage, you probably won't get a respond), no wonder there's know Improv for stand-up comedians in Malaysia. Obviously I got bombed at least 50% in my speech, made me felt like I'm in the hall of losers. Well, losing is my motivation to improve anyway. =P
My next round would be next Monday, it's SHOWTIME! This time I'm gonna storm the crowd!
3 Things I've Learnt:
1) Never to lose my cool in my head, always stick to the master plan
2) Always underestimate your audience and treat them like babies
3) Get the courage to pause before and after the punchline to maximize the impact (Art of Seriousness - create anticipation)

GIVE THEM HELL! It is easy to loose hope but it sounds like you got the attitude and at least you know what happened and you have got to make a plan B as well as a C and a D!
Public speaking is not the number I thing on my list and I am always sure they know I am nervous and lost whenever I had to do it, which I have to applauded you for wanting to do such a thing! Good luck and keep me informed on Mondays round.
Be careful with that shit I would hate to see the word shit overused and shit. Got to go and watch my favorite show “Livin’ the Low Life” it is good shit with my favorite hostess which I don’t know why but there is something about here (host Vida Guerra) I find hauntingly attractive! What’s up with that shit?
Ok knock the public speaking out of the park, don’t forget to give us the shit on what happened. Now that’s enough for me with that word!
It is always good to have back up ideas/ plans/ whatever but if you can truly stick to the fist one the one that makes you feel proud of and you can stick to it no matter what happens that all the better!
But if you are going to crash and burn do you know any dance steps? kidding only kidding ^___^
